Wire Tree Keyring Workshop and Peer for Good Gathering
HFG-SG warmly invites your family to a special afternoon of creativity and community! We're hosting a Wire Art Keyring Workshop for foster children, running alongside a Peer for Good Afternoon Tea for foster parents — a lovely opportunity for your child to engage in creative play while you connect with fellow caregivers. Please note: To register your child for the workshop, at least one foster parent must join the tea session running concurrently at the same venue.
🪡 Wire Art Keyring Workshop (Children) Your child will get to craft their very own wire art keyring — all materials are provided, so they just need to show up ready to create! The workshop is organised and sponsored by Hi-Story.
Open exclusively to HFG-SG members
Suitable for ages 8–13
Maximum of 2 children per household (at least one must be a foster child)
Light refreshments will be provided.
🍵Peer for Good Afternoon Tea (Foster Parents)
While the children are busy crafting, foster parents are invited to gather for a relaxed afternoon tea just outside the workshop space — a great chance to catch up and connect with other caregivers in the community. Light refreshments will be provided.
Please submit your interest by 1 June 2026 (one submission per household).
Buddy for Good Befriender's Training
About Buddy for Good
The Buddy for Good Programme, with trained befrienders assigned, offers emotional and social support to foster children and their families throughout their fostering journey. This befriender role extends beyond fostering, continuing to support the foster child and their biological families even after reunification.
To build a stable relationship with the foster child and family, befrienders are expected to serve as a befriender for at least a period of one year. Befrienders are required to spend at least an hour, on a monthly basis, to build rapport with foster child. Activities could be as simple as doing colouring with foster child, going for an outing or birthday celebration.
Befrienders are required to attend mandatory befriender's training and go through assessment by MSF.
Please note that there is no child-minding services available. Please register by 1 June 2026.
